Code Snippets

A code snippet is a piece of code or text, stored in a Visual Studio-compatible XML file, that you can insert again and again. You insert snippets from the statement completion list, and the snippet's text is added to the template.

If the snippet declares fields, they're highlighted in the inserted code so you can see what you need to fill in. When several fields use the same declaration, they're linked to the first one: as you edit the first field, the others update to match.
