Rockford Lhotka's CSLA .NET is an application development framework that reduces the cost of building and maintaining applications. The CSLA templates for CodeSmith Generator reduce that cost further: they generate CSLA business objects, and the data access layer behind them, from your database, in C# or Visual Basic.

The templates stay true to CSLA's methodologies and best practices, so what you already know about CSLA applies to the generated code. For a deeper understanding of CSLA, read the CSLA .NET books alongside the templates.

Supported CSLA versions

The templates generate code for CSLA 3.8, CSLA 4.3 and CSLA 4.5. You choose the version with the FrameworkVersion property of the QuickStart and Entities templates.

Get the templates

The CSLA templates aren't installed with CodeSmith Generator. Get them from GitHub or NuGet. See Installing and upgrading.
