CodeSmith Insight accepts Feature Requests and Defect Reports directly from your application. This means that CodeSmith Insight turns your application into a communication medium for your users to submit their feedback directly to you.
Included UI Elements
The Insight clients assemblies for WinForms and WPF include pre-built UI forms that allow the user to create cases from inside the application. These forms allow the users to not only create new Inquiries, Feature Requests, and Defect Reports, but also to search for existing cases and vote on a case's priority. This helps to prevent duplicate cases from being created in the system, as well as provide users a way to literally vote for the updates they want most.
Custom Case Creation
It should be noted that pre-built UI forms are not required to submit cases. The Insight Client API allows for submission and customization of cases at any time. This mean that you are free to create your own UI elements for data submission, or even wire up pre-existing forms to use the Insight client.
