Insight is able to send and receive messages from external email accounts. Once imported into the system all emails are automatically converted into cases. These cases contain all information from the email message as well as keep a complete history of communication back and forth between you and the end user.
Mailboxes allow for customization of cases created from inbound emails. When a case is created from an email message, the mailbox settings can be used to set the project, custom fields, and tags of the case. Mailboxes can also set signatures and branding tags for outbound emails. These signatures use snippet variables to keep them generic, so they are not user specific.
Insight is able to integrate with POP3 and IMAP mail providers.
Complete Email Client
CodeSmith Insight contains complete email client. This client, built into the Insight web application, includes the following features:

Insight even allows you to send an update to a group of users experiencing the same issue. Any group of merged cases can all be responded to in bulk, allowing you to quickly and easily share the latest news with all users experiencing the same issue.
